Jacob Mod Manager Support

This page supports the App Store edition of Jacob Mod Manager. The website and App Store editions are provided by the same developer but use different purchase methods. You do not need a website account or license key to use purchases made through Apple; website license keys do not unlock the App Store edition.

Effective date: September 8, 2026

1. Contact

For app issues, general feedback or feature requests, email support@jacobmodmanager.app. Support is available in English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Jacob Mod Manager is independent software and is not affiliated with CAPCOM. We cannot provide support for the game itself or for obtaining third-party Mods.

2. Setup and common fixes

  • In Jacob Mod Manager, open Settings and choose your installed Resident Evil 4.app using the game picker.
  • When macOS asks, allow Jacob Mod Manager under System Settings > Privacy & Security > App Management so it can install and remove managed Mods.
  • The Mac App Store edition accepts Mod folders and ZIP archives. Extract RAR or 7z archives before importing.
  • Before removing the app, disable every managed Mod and confirm that the game has been restored. Deleting Jacob Mod Manager does not automatically delete its library or backups.

3. Purchases and refunds

The Mac App Store edition uses Apple In-App Purchase and does not accept Jacob Mod Manager website license keys. To restore a previous purchase made with the same Apple Account, open Settings > App Store Purchases & Version and choose Restore Purchases.

Apple manages Mac App Store billing, receipts and refund decisions. For a billing or refund request, use reportaproblem.apple.com. Do not send payment-card information to Jacob Mod Manager support.

4. Reporting a problem

Please include the Jacob Mod Manager version and build, macOS version, Mac model or chip, game version, Mod name and version, original Mod page, the exact visible error and steps to reproduce it.

Do not email game files, complete Mod archives, passwords, Apple Account credentials, payment details or license keys. If a diagnostic report is useful, review its contents in the app before choosing to submit it.

5. Privacy

Game files, the Mod library, generated packages and backups are processed locally by default. Read the Privacy Policy for the limited data involved when you deliberately use an online support feature and for instructions on privacy requests.
