Privacy Policy

This policy covers the website and App Store editions of Jacob Mod Manager, including existing releases under the previous name Mac Mod Manager. Both editions are local-first. This policy separates files that stay on your Mac from the limited information sent when you use an online feature.

Effective date: August 30, 2026

1. Controller and local files

Jacob Mod Manager is operated by an individual seller based in Mainland China, who determines how product-support and licensing data is used. Privacy requests: support@macmodmanager.app.

Your game files, Mod library, converted assets, generated packages and local backups are processed on your Mac by default and are not automatically uploaded. A limited structured diagnostic snapshot is shared only after you review the in-app notice and actively submit a support report.

2. Website and support reports

Cloudflare may process ordinary request data needed to deliver and protect the website, including IP address, request metadata and security signals. The site stores a language preference in local browser storage. Cloudflare Turnstile processes security information when a protected form is submitted.

A compatibility or software-issue report may include the report type, game and game version, app version and build, macOS version, Mac chip category, declared edition, Mod name and version, original source URL, issue details, optional contact email, consent choice, a limited library or selected-Mod status snapshot and an irreversible keyed IP hash for rate limiting.

The report does not include Mod archives, game files, license keys, hardware serial numbers or local file paths. A short-lived support token may verify that an active paid license qualifies for the priority queue; the token and license key are not stored in the report.

3. Purchases and licenses

When sales open, Paddle will process transaction, billing, tax, fraud-prevention and payment information as Merchant of Record. We expect to receive only the identifiers and statuses needed to deliver and administer a license. We do not receive or store full payment-card details.

For Jacob Mod Manager, the App Store edition, Apple processes app and in-app purchase transactions under Apple's privacy practices. Jacob Mod Manager receives locally verified product identifiers and entitlement status through StoreKit, not full payment-card details. Website license keys and Paddle purchases are not used to unlock the App Store edition.

License services may process a hashed license identifier, purchased entitlements, activation status, a random device identifier stored in macOS Keychain, software version and timestamps. We do not use disk or Mac serial numbers as an invasive hardware fingerprint.

4. Purposes and service providers

Cloudflare provides website delivery, security, Workers and D1 storage. Paddle will provide checkout, tax and payment services. Providers may process data outside your country under their safeguards. We do not sell personal information or use support reports for behavioral advertising.

  • Deliver the website, purchases, licenses and requested support.
  • Investigate compatibility and software-issue reports and improve supported workflows.
  • Prevent automated abuse, duplicate submissions, fraud and license misuse.
  • Keep transaction, refund and compliance records where required.

5. Retention, security and choices

We retain support, license and transaction records only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, accounting, legal obligations and product improvement, then delete or de-identify them where appropriate. Access is restricted and sensitive payment data remains with the payment provider. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

You may use the local software without submitting a support report. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of data associated with your email, subject to identity verification and records we must retain. Additional rights may apply where you live. The service is not directed to children under 16.

6. Changes

Material changes will be dated on this page. Before paid checkout opens, this policy will be reviewed against the final software telemetry, Paddle configuration and data-retention implementation.
